RIO RANCHO, NM (KRQE) – Sandoval County District Attorney’s Office is now investigating a crash between a suspected drunk driver and a Sandoval County Sheriff’s deputy.
“I think my leg is f****ed up,” the deputy told responding Rio Rancho police officers after the crash in Janauary. “I just think my left foot’s broken.”
The crash happened earlier this year on January 19, around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Corrales Road and State Highway 528, north of Rio Rancho.
According to police reports, a Sandoval County Sheriff’s deputy was northbound on SR 528 when a southbound Acura sedan turned in front of the deputy’s truck.
